The event is sponsored by The Chattanooga Muslim CommUNITY,
and co-sponsored by the Chattanooga Bicentennial library.
The event aims to
help our society better understand Islam and Muslims, and help us all build a
relationship based on true understanding and appreciation for what we can offer
each other. Your attendance would
be greatly honored and welcomed.

Saturday the 22nd:
- All Day long: Free booklets, brochures,
refreshments, and more will be available.
- 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Islam a Closer Look
(Documentary).
- 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM: Guest Speakers on topics:
Muslims in Chattanooga and the USA, What is
Islam and Who are Muslims, The Concept of God in Islam, The status of Women in
Islam.
- 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Open Question &
Answer Session.
- 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Islam Empire of
Faith (PBS Documentary)
- 11:30 AM- 5:00PM: Ongoing children’s
activities, Crafts, Coloring books give away, goody bags, balloons, and a
story time at 3:00 PM.
Sunday the 23rd:
- All Day long: Free booklets, brochures,
refreshments, and more will be available
- 2:00 PM – 2:30 PM: Islam a Closer Look

Thanks to the following who have made our event possible:
- Chattanooga bicentennial library by allowing us to use their facilities.
- PBS by allowing us to use their tapes free of
charge.
This is a final report of the main numbers for
that activity.
- We have distributed about 30,000 free pieces
of literature during both days.
- We have had over 700 visitors (estimate).
- We have reached through the announcements,
Comcast cable, news, and news articles what we estimate to be over 100,000
American and let them know that we are here and that we care.
- We have received over 70 positive comments by
mail or email, and several negative comments, see some of
the positive comments.
- We have several comments on the kids
activities and that the kids have enjoyed it (thanks to sisters Lubna, Dalia,
Afrah, Nooren and many others including all the MYA).
